The Job

Having already worked with us on other projects — Coaching Matters blog, ITOL landing page, and The Smart School, Nick Bolton, director of One Small Step (a social policy conference and events company), knew exactly what we could do when it came to websites and design.

Getting information out quickly and easily

We recommend WordPress for all non-ecommerce websites that need to be edited and updated frequently (for updateable ecommerce websites, we recommend Venda) and this is what the One Small Step website has been built on. Not only does this mean new content can be added quickly and easily, but edits to existing content can be made immediately and with no fuss (without our help). There is also the significant added benefit that WordPress websites are very well set up to get great SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) results.

With the One Small Step website, we designed the concept from scratch (including in this case the logo and all icons used across the website!). The result is a website that incorporates both information about the conferences and events offered by One Small Step, to diary listings, a blog for up to date news, and a resources area.
